Aleri Provides Blueprint for Analytics Developers to Construct

CHICAGO, July 28, 2009 – Aleri Inc., a leading provider of enterprise-class complex event processing (CEP) technology and CEP-based solutions, today announced the availability of the Aleri Implementation Methodology (AIM) whitepaper that provides a structured, reusable approach for rapidly building Continuous Intelligence applications. Additionally, Aleri announced it will be conducting The Aleri AIM Developer Learning Series, a set of webcasts that will introduce developers to AIM and teach them how to rapidly develop and deploy CEP applications using the AIM Building Blocks, the Aleri CEP software, and Aleri's Continuous Computation Language (CCL).

“Over the years, the business intelligence and data warehousing markets have developed a number of well defined best practices which have allowed practitioners to accelerate application delivery and reuse while adapting these approaches to their specific business needs,” said John Morrell, VP of Marketing. “AIM delivers on these same goals for building real-time, continuous analytic applications with CEP, and allows developers to reuse and extend their existing skills and best practices from traditional analytics, business intelligence, and data warehousing methodologies.”

The Aleri AIM Developer Learning Series will kick off this week with the first Webinar focusing on an introduction to AIM and CEP. Following is the series schedule. To register go to http://www.aleri.com/news/upcoming-events.

  • Introduction to AIM and CEP – July 29th, 12 pm ET
The initial webcast of the series will introduce developers to AIM, CEP architecture, CEP development concepts, and the Continuous Computation Language to provide a basis for rapidly building Continuous Intelligence applications.
  • AIM Building Blocks 1 and 2 – August 5th, 12 pm ET
The second webcast of the series will teach developers how to apply AIM building blocks 1 and 2 to capture data from high-speed rapidly changing data streams and sources, and prepare the data for high performance analysis.
  • AIM Building Blocks 3 and 4, August 12th, 12pm ET
The third webcast in the series will teach developers how to apply AIM building blocks 3 and 4 to integrate and enrich event stream data with historical and reference data, and perform the various aggregations and computations required in the real-time analysis.
  • AIM Building Blocks 5 and 6, August 19th, 12 pm ET
The fourth webcast in the series will teach developers how to apply AIM building blocks 5 and 6 to identify actionable business events in the analysis, map decisions and actions to the identified business events, and generate and deliver output results or events to users or downstream applications.
  • AIM Advanced Topics, August 26th, 12 pm ET
The final webcast in the series will examine some advanced topics related to developing CEP applications, teaching developers how to generate real-time "facts" and multi-dimensional analytic results, as well as applying techniques such as state management in CEP-based applications.
